The frameless fireproof glass in the early stage is a variety of composite commodities. (1) Fire resistance function of supporting materials and structures

Even if frameless fireproof glass is installed, it is not a "fireproof window". Therefore, it is not just necessary to write "frameless fireproof glass" in the planning, but also make specific planning for its supporting materials and structure, and at least make clear requirements for its fire resistance function. This question is particularly important when frameless fireproof glass is planned to be used to build partition wall / skirt wall. Sometimes it may be unbearable due to beauty doubt or high cost, so we have to change the scheme or choose solid wall instead.

(2) Be careful when building a firewall

The fire resistance function of single frameless fireproof glass can only reach class C listed above (only meeting the requirements for fire resistance integrity), and its maximum fire resistance limit only takes 90 minutes (i.e. 1.5h). The fire resistance limit of the firewall is required to reach 3H (or 4h) in the specification, and its fire integrity and fire insulation are required together (i.e. equivalent to class a of frameless fireproof glass). Obviously, the selection of single frameless fireproof glass may not meet the functional requirements of firewall. If it is necessary to plan a glass firewall for special needs and ask for excellent vision permeability, at least two or more pieces should be used to form a hollow or sandwich, or even two walls should be set; The supporting system shall be specially planned and assembled into a "wall" for overall test, so as to meet the fire resistance function requirements of the firewall. In this way, if you expect to achieve the ideal effect of fire safety and beauty, it will greatly increase the project cost, which is generally not suitable for selection.
