Manufacturing method of fireproof glass:

1. Borosilicate glass: the glass contains boron oxide and alumina with high glass distance, which greatly reduces the thermal shrinkage coefficient of the glass, and then can withstand rapid heating and cooling, which has the function of fire prevention. The disadvantage is that the melting and forming of borosilicate glass, especially the drawing into flat glass for construction, has messy technology, high cost and low scrap rate. Therefore, borosilicate glass is mostly used to make special-shaped glass products such as chemical instrument glass and heat-resistant utensils.

2. High strength tempered glass: because glass is a brittle glass, it is not resistant to compression and tension, and its theoretical strength only needs 18000 of the theoretical strength, the glass strength is often improved by stopping the tempering treatment of flat glass, so that the glass can withstand the thermal stress generated during rapid heating (or rapid cooling), and then has the function of fire prevention. Ordinary tempered glass has certain fire-proof function, but it can not be used as fire-proof glass, mainly because its surface compressive stress is not high enough and its strength is not high.
