1. The firewall should be stable

The fire resistance function of single fireproof glass can only reach class C listed above (only satisfied with the request for fire integrity), and its high fire resistance limit only takes 90 minutes (i.e. 1.5h). The standard requires that the fire resistance limit of the firewall reach 3H (or 4h), and the fire integrity and fire insulation (i.e. equivalent to class a of fireproof glass) are required together. Obviously, the selection of single fireproof glass may not meet the function requirements of firewall. If the glass firewall must be planned and good visual permeability is required due to special needs, two or more pieces of composite shall be used to form hollow and sandwich, and even two walls shall be set; The supporting system shall be specially planned and assembled into a "wall" for overall test to make it reach the fire resistance function of the firewall. In this way, if you expect to achieve the ideal function of fire safety and beauty, you must greatly increase the project cost, which is not suitable for selection under normal circumstances.

2. Select the type accurately

As listed above, fireproof glass is divided into three categories and four levels according to different fire resistance function characteristics and fire resistance limit. During the planning of single project, the selected type shall be accurately selected according to the characteristics of application occasions and parts, and in accordance with the requirements of relevant technical standards and administrative regulations, and shall be clearly indicated in the planning documents (such as grade C Ⅱ and grade a Ⅰ). Generally speaking, the fire-resistant function of partition wall and skirt wall is required to reach class B or even class A. the single piece of fireproof glass cannot meet this request and must be used in combination; Class C is only used for manufacturing fireproof doors and windows or curtain walls and partitions without thermal insulation function. In addition, considering the requirements of sound insulation and thermal insulation, sometimes the function of Low-E may be added, and may be combined with other glass to form sandwich, hollow and other types of application.
